Top Shelf: Poet's Corner

(My friend Jared is quite the accomplished poet. Here is of one my particular favorites from his blog, and I added this song because while the ending broke, the song is still top shelf quality.

Top Shelf

Turn me.

Fell off the top shelf today.
Can't tell if I'm broken or not.

I may be cracked underneath,
Chipped or shattered.
But I see no pieces,
No fractures or fissures.

And I seem whole by the looks,
But I seem empty somehow.

And for the life of me,
I cant think of the reason
That made me
Fall off the top shelf.

Turn me.
